Dehradun. Monsoon is about to gain momentum in Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of heavy rain in the state for the next three days from August 18. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain throughout the state except for the Haridwar district during the next 24 hours.

According to meteorologists, apart from heavy rain at isolated places in all the districts, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in some areas. In such a situation, the government, administration, district administration as well as officials related to disaster management need to be alert 24 hours a day.

Weather patterns changed in the state
After rain for the last two days in the state, the weather turned hot again on Tuesday. The weather remained clear in all the districts and it was sunny throughout the day. Due to this people had to bear the scorching heat. But in the evening the weather changed and there were clouds in many areas including the capital Dehradun. Due to this, there was a feeling of coolness due to a slight drop in the temperature.
