Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday launched the Dettol School Hygiene Education Program Uttarakhand at Chief Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister’s residence. Dettol School Hygiene Education Program will be run in 13 thousand primary schools in all 13 districts of Uttarakhand. For this, MoU was also signed between Director General Education Banshidhar Tiwari and Director External Affairs and Partnership, SOA, Reckitt Ravi Bhatnagar.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Dettol School Hygiene Education Program would change children’s daily behavior towards cleanliness. He said that it is necessary to create awareness among children about cleanliness in personal, schools, homes, and nearby areas. He said that from birth to the age of six years, the mental and physical development of children is the fastest. Children move forward following the discipline that children get in the early stages of life. The coming 25 years will be the nectar of the country, these children of today will be the country’s captains after 25 years. It is important to give them the right direction.

The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy-2020. For the implementation of the National Education Policy, Bal Vatikas have been started in 4457 co-located Anganwadi centers in the state. New programs like ‘Praveshotsav’, ‘Aarohi’, ‘Kaushalam’, ‘Anandam’, ‘Vidya Setu’ are being conducted.

In order to promote online education, virtual classrooms have been established in central studios and 500 schools in all 13 districts of the state. In higher education, subjects like Vedic Science, Vedic Mathematics, and Management Introduction to Bhagavad Gita have been implemented as co-curricular with the aim of acquainting the students with Indian culture and the Indian knowledge system. The Start-up Policy has been implemented with the objective of promoting research and start-ups in higher educational institutions.

On this occasion Secretary Education Ravinath Raman, Director General Education Banshidhar Tiwari, Director External Affairs and Partnership, SOA, Reckitt Ravi Bhatnagar, and Executive Director Plan India Mohammad Asif were present at the occasion.
