Sindhu becomes first Indian woman to win two Olympic medals, men’s hockey team enters semi-finals after 49 years

India’s star badminton player PV Sindhu won the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics. He created history by defeating Chinese player Bing Xiao in straight sets. She also became the first Indian athlete to win two Olympic medals. Earlier, Sindhu had won a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. This is Sindhu’s second consecutive Olympic medal. With Sindhu’s medal, India’s second medal also came in the bag.

Men’s hockey team in semi-finals after 49 years
India’s men’s hockey team continued its winning campaign against Great Britain at the Olympics. The Indian team defeated Britain 3-1 to enter the Olympic semi-finals after 49 years. Let us inform that earlier India had defeated Britain in 1948, 1952, 1960, and 1972 Olympics.
