Rudraprayag / Tilwara. Senior Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj in Uttarakhand government today laid the foundation stone and inaugurated crores of rupees for irrigation, flood protection, and tourism-related schemes. Addressing the officers and workers present at the foundation stone program organized at Lata Baba Guest House Complex in Tilwara, Maharaj gave clear instructions that officers should work with service. He said that workers’ problems should be resolved on priority. The workers always fight for the public interest. Therefore, the complaint of the worker should not be reached that the officials do not hear the problems. He said that the neglect of workers will not be tolerated.

On this occasion, Maharaj said that the mission the government is working on will prove to be a public utility. Several employment schemes are being implemented including tourism, a series of famous monasteries under pilgrimage, homestay scheme, adventure, paragliding, foot massage, local produce, promotion of Garhwali food. Apart from this, on the complaint of pipes lying in the Bangar of Lastar Left Canal approved at a cost of crores of rupees, Maharaj talked about several quick actions, besides pending flood protection schemes, irrigation canals, and renovation of tourist places.

Regional MLA Bharat Singh Chaudhary greeted Maharaj keeping various problems in the district. On this occasion, flood protection scheme near PG College Agastyamuni 198.87 lakh, protection of Mishra village Bhiri 69.66 lakh, erosion prevention in Mansuna Ghasere 19.72 lakh, Kalimath temple erosion protection 19.50 lakh, Mahesh temple Jakholi erosion protection 105.02 lakh, lift pump Jakholi 82.31 Lakh, Agastyamuni lift pump 221.57 lakh, laid the foundation stone of the schemes. The program was presided over by District General Secretary Anup Semwal and conducted by District General Secretary Vikram Kandari.
