Dehradun. Just before the 2022 assembly elections in Uttarakhand, politics has intensified regarding the new land law in the state. Terming the settlement made in the law for the purchase of land as an injury to the interests of the people of the state, the opposition parties have intensified their efforts to surround the government and the ruling party BJP. After running a campaign on social media, now efforts are being made to take this issue to the public. The main opposition party Congress has also opened a new front by grasping this issue. At the same time, the state BJP does not want to give a chance to the opposition to play on this issue. The ruling party has put forward a counter-tactic by emphasizing the need to consider amendments to the land law.

Since the formation of the Uttarakhand state, strict land laws have been advocated on the lines of Himachal. Intellectuals have also been raising their voice in favor of legal provisions to stop the illegal purchase and sale of land. There is a preparation to heat up the issue of land law before the assembly elections. In the 20 years since the formation of the state, three major changes have been made in the land law. From 2017 to 2019, this law was made flexible to invite external capital investors and encourage industries. After which once again the demand for new land has started gaining momentum.

Rallies are being taken out every week in Haldwani city of Kumaon division. The youth working in Rudrapur Sidcul get a holiday once a week, and instead of resting on this day, these youths gather at Tikonia Park, Haldwani to demand land law and are raising their voice for the demand for land law…

One of them is young Ashish Joshi who is also a YouTuber.
Ashish, who is originally from Pauri Garhwal, while going to his home, told people related to land law in the night bus journey and also distributed pamphlets related to land law. Along with Ashish, there is enthusiasm and passion among other youth regarding land law. Anil Sharma, Pankaj Choudhary, Yogesh Kandwal, Pradeep, etc. youth are contributing in every way to land law.
