Dehradun. The list of achievements of Pawandeep Rajan, the winner of the much-discussed small screen show ‘Indian Idol-12’, got a little longer when he was made the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand in the field of arts, tourism, and culture. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made the announcement after meeting Pawandeep Rajan at his official residence here. CM Dhami said, “Despite his humble background, Pawandeep has made a mark in the world of music with his talent. He has illuminated the name of Uttarakhand in the country and abroad.

Even before Pawandeep Rajan was made the brand ambassador, CM Dhami had praised Rajan through Facebook. He had said on social media that Rajan not only won the competition but also won the hearts of the people of the country. 23-year-old Rajan, who won the 12th edition of the music reality shows Indian Idol on August 15, hails from Champawat in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Not only is he a great singer, but he has also given his performances on the stage of Indian Idol by playing various instruments and won the hearts of the audience.

Please tell that Rajan’s family lives in Talli Chowk village of Champawat district. Born in 1996, Rajan is survived by father Suresh Rajan, mother Saroj Rajan, and sisters who are associated with Kumaoni folk art. It is said that Rajan started showing interest in playing the tabla from the age of two.
