Vikas Nagar. Amidst the power crisis in Uttarakhand, a sudden fire broke out in the 120 MW Khodri Power House on Wednesday. A sudden fire broke out in turbine number four of the powerhouse at around one o’clock. Suddenly, the panels of the turbine and a generator were completely destroyed in the fire in the strong flames of the powerhouse.

Due to the fire in this turbine of 30 MW capacity, the loss of more than five crores is estimated. The work of extinguishing the fire is going on in full swing. But till now the fire is not completely extinguished. The great thing is that despite the fire inside the powerhouse, the officers and staff of UJVNL on duty are still safe and there has been no loss of life or property.
