Covid curfew extended till August 4 in Uttarakhand, these institutions will open with spa and salon, night curfew will remain intact

Dehradun. The Uttarakhand government has extended the Covid curfew in the state from 6 am on Tuesday to 6 am on August 4 with some more concessions. Political, social, cultural, sports, entertainment, and educational functions can be organized in the state after taking prior permission from the competent authority.

The government has decided to open government and non-government offices in the state with 100 percent capacity. Chief Secretary Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, who is also the Executive Officer of the State Disaster Management Authority, issued the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) late Monday evening.

Salons and spas will open with 50 percent capacity
Permission has been given to open all spas and salons in the state. All spas and salons will open with 50 percent capacity. Earlier, permission has been given to open gyms, shopping malls, cinema halls, and swimming pools, amusement parks, theatres, auditoriums, and all activities related to them with 50 percent capacity.

Spas will open in hotels
The government has also given permission to open conference halls, spas, and gyms located in hotels with 50 percent capacity.

Government non-government training institutes also opened
Permission has been given to open government and non-government training institutes for trainees above 18 years in the state with compliance with the Covid protocol.

night curfew will continue
Night curfew will continue in the state. Markets will open from 8 am to 9 am. Hotel restaurants, eateries, and dhabas located in urban areas will remain closed from 10 pm to 6 am.

Government offices will open with 100% capacity from Tuesday
All government offices in the state will now open on Wednesday with 100% attendance. In-charge Secretary General Administration Vinod Kumar Suman has issued the order. Till now, there was 50 percent attendance of Group C and D in government offices, but due to less impact of Covid, now the government has removed this restriction.
