Following the order of the Nainital High Court, the Endowment Department of the Government of Uttarakhand has fixed the number of pilgrims for Chardham Yatra 2021. In this regard, Harichandra Semwal, Secretary, Religion and Pilgrimage, and Secretary Prem Singh Rana have issued a new order.

According to the order, the registered pilgrims who are not reaching Uttarakhand Chardham on the scheduled date, in their place other registered pilgrims will be able to go to Chardham for darshan.

Chardham Yatra started on 18th September
According to the SOP, 1000 pilgrims for Shri Badrinath Dham, 800 for Shri Kedarnath, 600 for Shri Gangotri, and 400 for Shri Yamunotri can reach all four Dhams daily.

The government says that in the Chardham Yatra, which started on September 18, fewer devotees are reaching the Devasthanam Board’s website www.devasthanam.uk.gov.in every day than among the registered pilgrims. So now this number has been fixed.

According to the new order, the registered pilgrims who are not reaching Uttarakhand Chardham on the scheduled date, in their place other registered pilgrims will be able to go to Chardham for darshan.

Pilgrims are canceling the journey due to not being able to register for Darshan
On the instructions of the High Court, the Chardham Yatra has of course been started by the state government and the government. But due to the determination of the number of pilgrims in the four dhams by the government, trouble has arisen not only in front of the pilgrims but also the bus and taxi operators.

The situation is that due to non-registration for Char Dham Yatra, pilgrims from other states are getting canceled booking not only of trains but also of taxis and buses booked from Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun. This move of the pilgrims has raised the concerns of the operators operating buses and taxis for the Chardham Yatra.

Uttarakhand Transport Federation President Sudhir Rai says that the government and the government have fixed one thousand for Badrinath Dham, eight hundred for Kedarnath Dham, six hundred for Gangotri, and four hundred for Yamunotri Dham. Due to such a small number being fixed in Chardham, a large number of pilgrims have canceled the booking of buses and taxis.

There are many such pilgrims who reached Haridwar, Rishikesh by trains, but due to not being able to register for Chardham Yatra, they canceled the booking of buses and taxis.
