Dehradun. The cold winds coming from the northwest direction have suddenly changed the weather pattern from the plains to the mountains. Northwesterly winds are reaching the entire state after hitting the snow in the higher Himalayan regions. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the capital Doon on Sunday was recorded at 21.8 degrees and the minimum temperature was nine degrees. Within the last 24 hours, a drop of five degrees in the maximum temperature and 3.6 degrees in the minimum temperature was recorded. It is noteworthy that the maximum temperature of the capital was 26.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 12.6 degrees Celsius a day earlier on Saturday.

Due to the maximum temperature reaching 26 degrees, people started feeling the heat. But, once again on Sunday, people were chilled by the cold. According to Vikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, for the next two days due to the cold winds coming from the northwest, the effect of coolness will be visible from the plains to the mountains, including the capital Doon. But, after February 15, due to the knock of southwest winds, the temperature will rise rapidly and the summer season will begin.

According to the report released by the Meteorological Department, there is every possibility of fog in some areas of Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital district in the next 24 hours. While the weather will remain dry in the rest of the districts. Although the sky will be clear in the capital, but due to the maximum temperature remaining around 25 degrees and the minimum temperature around seven degrees, a little lukewarm cold will have to be faced during the day.
