The Uttarakhand government has once again made it clear that the status of Covid infection will depend on what kind of Kumbh will be held. Preparation at the state government level is to organize Kumbh in a grand and traditional manner.

The Kumbh in Haridwar will take place in early 2021. The government has hardly a few month’s time. The trouble is that cases of covid infection are increasing. A large number of people reach Kumbh. In such a situation, the government has to decide whether the Kumbh should be held at a limited level or in a traditional way.

At the Kumbh review meeting on Sunday, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat clearly said that it would depend on the spread of corona infection. The effort of the state government is that Kumbh should be in a grand format Representatives of Sant Samaj present in the meeting also said that the government will be supported.

CM also issued these instructions

  • All permanent works should be completed before the commencement of Kumbh.
  • Cleanliness, removal of encroachments, parking arrangements should be accurate.
  • CS will review the construction work of the fair every 15 days.

The Kumbh Mela will be in its divine and grand form. The tradition and culture of Kumbh will be fully taken care of. At the start of Kumbh, the nature of Kumbh will be expanded according to the position of Covid. In Kumbh, suggestions of Akhara Parishad and saints and saints will be taken to decide according to the circumstances. Instructions have been given to regular monitoring of the concerned departmental secretaries to complete the works of Kumbh which are still in progress.

Most permanent nature work will be completed by 15 December 2020. All works will be completed by 31 December. The work of nine new ghats, eight bridges, and roads being built for Kumbh is nearing completion. All arrangements will be completed before the commencement of Kumbh.
