It is believed that before reaching Gaurikund, the festival doli of Lord Shiva from Kailash takes the doli out of the sanctum sanctorum and leaves for its winter seat so that Baba Kedar and Gouramai cannot meet. Here, Lord Shiva fought with Parvati’s part-made son, Ganesh, and Gouramai was annoyed by cutting his head, due to which she could not meet Shiva. The Badri-Kedar temple committee has started preparations to close both doors. Ajendra Ajay, president of the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee, said that all preparations have been started for closing the doors of Kedarnath temple. All the pujas will be started in the temple from 3 am on 27th October. The temple doors will be closed for the winter season at exactly 8.30 am.
