Uttarkashi. The bodies of seven more trainee climbers, who were hit by the avalanche on the top of Draupadi Ka Danda, have been recovered by the search rescue team till Friday afternoon. A total of 26 bodies have been recovered so far. Three climbers are still missing. At the same time, four bodies were taken to Harshil by Air Force Cheetah helicopters. Where he was brought to the district hospital Uttarkashi through an ambulance, these four have been identified.

The post-mortem of the dead bodies is going on in the district hospital. The four bodies were identified as Everester Savita Kanswal, Navami Rawat, Ajay Bisht, and Shivam Kaithala. These bodies will be handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem. Other bodies could not be transported to Uttarkashi due to unfavorable weather.

A 42-member team from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) went to Draupadi’s Danda (DKD) for training on 23 September. On Tuesday, October 4, this team came under an avalanche. After the avalanche, the rescue operation was started, in the search operation a 14-member squad of Nehru Mountaineering Institute (NIM), SDRF, and Jammu and Kashmir High Altitude Warfare School, Gulmarg is being run.
