State Level Bankers Committee meeting held under the chairmanship of CM Dhami
Dehradun. Under Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee meeting was held at the hotel on Subhash Road. The Chief Minister said that special attention should be paid to the simplification of loan procedures under various public welfare schemes to ensure that the benefits of various schemes of the Central and State Governments reach the common man. In the efforts being made by the state government for the overall development of the state, the banks will also have to cooperate with them. The Chief Minister said that the low credit-deposit ratio (CD ratio) in the state is a matter of concern. Efforts should be made to increase it.
The Chief Minister said that the common man should not face any problem in taking loans under various schemes of the government so all the banks should pay attention to the simplification of the form along with the same format. Information about the documents and other parameters required for the loan should also be given through the board in the branches of the banks. The long pendency of loan applications is a matter of regret. To prevent pendency, time should be fixed for loan approval after the application. It should be ensured that the forms are not rejected unnecessarily. For this, the responsibility of the concerned departmental officers and bankers should also be fixed.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has set a target of doubling the state income in 5 years. For which the departments and banks will also have to work in coordination. He said that the target given to the departments and banks under various schemes is the minimum target. After achieving the minimum target, how much benefit of the schemes is available to the common man, it will be an achievement for the department and the banks.
The Chief Minister directed the officers that it should be ensured that the meeting of the Bankers Committee at the district and block level is regular. The Chief Development Officer should also attend the meetings at the block level. He said that we have entered the nectar of independence. In the coming time, the country should accelerate in every field, there should be progress in every field in the state, and everyone will have to make efforts in this direction. He said that mass awareness campaigns should also be conducted for the public welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments to reach the general public so they can take full advantage of the schemes.
