Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in France on Sunday to attend the G-7 summit. Here he will speak on burning global issues like the environment, climate and digital change and will also meet world leaders. Modi arrived here from Manama after traveling to three countries France, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

The Prime Minister’s Office made a tweet that the Prime Minister reached Biarritz in France where he would attend the G-7 summit. Apart from the summit, he will also hold bilateral meetings with global leaders separately. During the G-7 summit, the Prime Minister will address sessions on the environment, climate, oceans and digital change. The summit is taking place in the seaside town of Biarritz, France.

Although India is not a part of the G-7 group, Modi is personally invited by French President Emmanuel Macron. The Ministry of External Affairs had said that this invitation reflects the personal coordination between the two leaders and also accepts India as a major economic power.

Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the US are part of the G-7 group. On the sidelines of the G-7 summit, Modi and US President Donald Trump are expected to discuss the situation in Kashmir, trade issues and mutual issues of mutual interest.

In Washington this week, Trump said that when he would meet Modi at the weekend G-7 summit, he would discuss the situation in Kashmir and the Indo-Pak tension.

Tensions between him and Pakistan have increased after India’s decision to remove the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and divide it into two union territories. Pakistan has reacted strongly to this decision of India.
