Keeping in view the geographical conditions of the state, a mobile e-court facility has been started for speedy disposal of cases. Its purpose is to give justice to the people at their doorstep. Mobile e-courts were started in the first phase in Pithoragarh, Champawat, Uttarkashi, Tehri, and Chamoli.

It is difficult for them to reach the court.
In dowry, molestation, rape, and other cases women, children, elderly witnesses, doctors, investigating officers (IOs) take more time to get justice due to practical difficulties in reaching the court. The operation of mobile e-court is a special initiative of the Chief Justice to make the principle of speedy justice a reality. This will save the time of the witnesses as well as the court.
