Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that tablets will be given to students studying in classes 10, 12 in government schools and in government colleges. Money will be transferred to their accounts through DBT and we will ensure that all government universities, schools help these students to buy tablets.

In the month of October last, the government had decided to give tablets to the students. Due to the problem in the availability of more than 2.60 lakh tablets, it is getting delayed. The time period for the distribution of tablets to be made available through the selected company has been kept at 75 days. The second major change the government has to make is to reduce the RAM of the tablet. The government has now decided to provide tablets of 2 GB RAM instead of 3 GB RAM. Despite all this, it is not possible to provide tablets before the code of conduct of elections.

Now the government is contemplating making available an amount of 12 thousand in the account of the students through DBT. With this amount, the students will have to ensure the purchase of tablets. The bill will also have to be given to the department.
