Pithoragarh. The landslide occurred in Dharchula Nayabasti near Tanakpur-Tawaghat NH. The road has been closed due to boulders and debris falling from the hill. Due to this dozens of vehicles and villagers are stranded. The executive body is engaged in opening the hill ways road. The road is expected to open by the afternoon. Apart from this, more than 18 roads are closed due to debris. Due to torrential rains in the Darma Valley of Dharchula, the trolley on the banks of the Dhauli river connecting the Chal village has been washed away. Because of this, the contact of 50 families has been cut off. 25 people, who had gone to exploit the wormwood, had to reach the village risking their lives due to the stormy nature of the drains.

There was torrential rain in Darma Valley on Thursday afternoon. During this, the trolley built on the banks of the Dhauli River to connect the village got washed away with the debris. About 50 families who went on migration are stuck in this village. Please tell us that the Dhauli River flows in the middle of Chal village. The first iron bridge was built for traffic on this river. This bridge was washed away in the disaster of 2013. This river takes a fierce form during the rainy season. Mamira Chalal of the village told that due to heavy rains on Thursday, the water level of the Thopa drain near the village has increased. 25 people who came back after exploiting wormwood had to risk their lives to reach the village with the help of a rope.

Village head Saraswati Devi and deputy head Dinesh Chalal told that the iron bridge was washed away in the 2013 disaster. The government administration has not yet built the bridge. Every year this kind of trouble has to be faced. The villagers have to build a wooden bridge twice while coming on migration and returning. The wooden bridge has also been washed away this time already. People have demanded from the administration to make a permanent suspension bridge in the river.
