Dehradun. The administration has started preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Kedarnath. The District Magistrate has instructed the officials to complete the decoration and basic arrangements of the temple in a time-bound manner. Along with this, the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam has been asked to set up more than 40 additional tents at the halts and Kedarnath. The District Magistrate, while meeting with the departmental officers related to the travel arrangements, discussed the proposed program of PM Modi in Kedarnath. He asked the Chief Development Officer to complete the security, health, communication, and other arrangements in the Dham on time keeping in mind the visit of special and very special guests to Kedarnath.

He asked all the personnel to issue identity cards during VIP duty so that there is no problem of any kind. The DM laid special emphasis on cleanliness in Kedarnath. Said that the cleanliness system in Kedarpuri should be chalked out. Every place here should be cleaned and lime should be poured there. Apart from this, instructions have been given to the fulfillment officer and DDMO to arrange an adequate bonfire to avoid the cold in Kedarpuri.

The District Magistrate has directed private companies, including BSNL, to improve electricity, water, and toilet systems in the entire Kedarpuri, Internet and Wi-Fi and Energy Corporation, Jal Sansthan, and Sulabh International. The District Magistrate has asked the Sector Magistrate posted in Kedarpuri from the Gaurikund-Kedarnath walkway to monitor all the arrangements and provide a progress report. The District Magistrate has given instructions to GMVN for proper arrangement of accommodation/food for the officers/personnel on duty along with deployment of personnel as per requirement from the foot to Kedarnath. Elaborate arrangements are being made by the administration from the helipad to the temple in Kedarnath regarding the PM’s program. Departmental officers including the Superintendent of Police were present in the meeting.

Kedarnath temple will be decorated lavishly for Diwali and the closing of doors. For this, necessary preparations are being made by the administration and the Devasthanam Board. The temple will be decorated with more than 10 quintals of flowers along with colorful lights. Along with this, lamps of ghee will be lit around the temple premises and the temple. Along with this, a grand Rangoli will also be made in the middle of the temple premises. The temple will also be decorated with colorful fringes.

During his visit to Kedarnath, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the reconstruction works of the second phase. Along with this, Adiguru will also inaugurate the tomb of Shankaracharya. For this, the DM has asked the Chief Development Officer to complete the time-bound preparations from the concerned departments. Along with this, instructions have been given to improve the mutual coordination between the departments for the successful organization of the programs. For this, emphasis has been laid on continuous dialogue with the police from the control room.
