Delhi. The Commonwealth Games are going to start on 28th July. Two days before this, India suffered a big setback. Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra has been ruled out of the Commonwealth Games. Rajeev Mehta, Secretary General of, the Indian Olympic Association gave this information.

Recently, Neeraj had given India a silver medal in the World Athletics Championships. He became only the second athlete after Anju Bobby George (2003) to do so. However, he also got injured in the same tournament. Neeraj Chopra suffered an injury during the Javelin final at the World Athletics Championships. In the final, Neeraj was also seen wrapping a bandage on his thigh.

After winning the silver medal in the World Athletics Championships, Neeraj said – I was feeling uncomfortable in the thigh after the fourth throw. After the fourth throw, I was not able to push as hard as I wanted. This statement of Neeraj raised the concern of all the countrymen.
Competition is less in the Commonwealth and the chances of winning a medal are higher. In such a situation, it was believed that Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal, but India lost a medal due to his injury.
