Bageshwar. Due to heavy rains in the district, there has been a lot of damage in Pausari village of Baisani. Houses, cowsheds, school buildings, Anganwadi centers, drinking water schemes, and standing crops have been destroyed. The Tehsil administration inspected the village in the morning. The report has been submitted to the district administration.

Last Sunday night at around 12.30, there was heavy rain in Pausari village. With the fall of lightning, the entire village was drenched in rain. Debris, boulders, water, and trees were uprooted and started flowing toward the village. Due to this, there was an outcry. The villagers left the house and she took shelter in the Goth i.e. Gaushala to save her life. Spent the night in fear and could not reach the information about the incident to the administration due to a lack of communication service.

By morning, the information of excessive rain reached the Tehsil administration. After which Tehsildar Pooja Sharma reached the village. He said that the village has suffered heavy losses. Crops have been destroyed. The banana garden has been washed away. Homes, courtyards, fields, and barns are covered with rubble. The road connecting the village has also been completely damaged. The road to the village has been cut off.

The school’s bathroom, computer room, etc. have also been destroyed. Many houses have developed cracks. Lal Singh Bhakuni, Kedar Singh, Dev Ram, Ganesh Ram, and Pani Ram of the village said that they were frightened. Concerned about the safety of children. The Tehsil administration has inspected the spot. But so far no relief has come from anyone’s side. Their belongings were buried under the rubble. Only clothes are left on the body.

Lal Singh’s son Mahendra Singh’s residential house was damaged, and clothes, utensils, etc. were buried. Pani Ram Putra Prem Ram House and Gaushala were demolished. Sado Singh’s son Sher Singh’s house, toilet, Bahadur Ram’s son Prem Ram’s toilet, Government Primary School Pausari’s house of Lal Singh’s son Mahendra Singh from Gadhre, and damage to agricultural land from Gadhre.

Two bridges connecting Kapkot, Aithan, Rikhadi, and Bamsera have come under threat. Kujgedi Gadhre has created havoc. Malla Bamsera Talla Bamsera Aithan Up to Jhajharbudhi, Gadhre has washed away about 10 hectares of land. Deepak Singh Aithani, Chanchal Singh Aithani, Dayal Singh, Hira Singh, Vinod Aithani, Bhagwat Singh, Janki Aithani, Mahesh Singh, Chanchal Gadhia, Darpan Singh Aithani, Bhupal Singh, Sher Singh Aithani, Mohan Ram, Sher Ram, Harish Ram’s fields And the houses are at risk. Villagers have requested the administration to inspect the spot and solve the problems of the people.
