Haridwar. Great news related to Haridwar Mahakumbh. Due to the increasing prevalence of Covid-19 infection in Haridwar, Panchayati Arena Shri Niranjani has announced Kumbh Mela’s closing on 17 April. Mahant Ravindrapuri, the Kumbh Mela in-charge and secretary of the arena, said that corona’s spread has increased. Saints and devotees are beginning to fall prey to it. The cantonments of the monk saints of Niranjani Akhara will be evacuated on 17 April. The remaining akharas should also take precautionary measures and pay attention to the rescue of Covid.

So far, around 12 saints including Mahant Narendra Giri, President of Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad have been infected in the Mahakumbh. Many devotees have also been vulnerable to infection. The saints of other akharas are also under infection.

At the Patta Abhishek program held in the arena, he said that the condition of Haridwar is not good. The saints of the arena, who have to take a bath on April 27, will go on foot separately from 40 to 50 saints. This will also be decided by looking at the circumstances of that time.

Mahant Ravindrapuri said that the remaining akharas also need to take positive decisions given the rescue from Covid at such a time. Avoiding Covid is the priority. At the same time, the path of Swami Raghavendra Bharti and Sadhvi Annapurna Bharti was done in the arena on Thursday.
