Dehradun. Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj has given a big relief to the folk artists of the state today and has ordered the Director-General of Culture that the department should pay their travel bills immediately.

While giving verbal instructions to Director General of Culture Department, Ashpal Chauhan, Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj has directed that the immediate payment of all types of travel bills including honorarium of folk artists, said that cultural programs and travel bills of folk artists till 2019-20 To be paid in full

Maharaj said that the economic condition of folk artists during the Kovid period has also been adversely affected. Therefore, all their previous dues should be paid. Not only this, but the Culture Minister also instructed the departmental officers that the Culture Department should also set up a forum for online cultural performances of folk artists of the state.
