Dehradun. Promotion and propagation of folk songs along with the promotion of the culture of Uttarakhand are necessary.

The state’s Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj said this while releasing the Raso song of Rakesh Mahar at his residence here today.

Releasing the Raso song on YouTube before its launch, Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj praised the song Raso and said that the song is designed to preserve the extinct culture. Our tourism will also be encouraged through such songs.

He said that on the one hand, while youth are growing towards western culture today, singer Rakesh Mahar has done the work of bringing the folk dance Raso to the front line through this song to propagate his culture.

Singer Rakesh Mahar, song director Sandi Gusain, Ajay Solanki, Divya Negi, Saurabh Maithani, Mahesh Chand, Ritesh Semwal, Naren Chauhan, Shiva Bhatt, Navi, Santosh Rana, Ankit Senwal were present on the occasion of the release.
