NCC is the nursery where future brave soldiers are prepared

Dehradun. On the occasion of National Cadet Corps Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wished everyone a Happy NCC Day. He said that it is an honor to be associated with NCC. He said that whenever I go to such programs, I remember my childhood. I was a part of NCC in my childhood. I am the son of an ex-serviceman, so childhood was spent among soldiers. NCC has a proud history. Whenever and wherever needed NCC cadets have contributed. From disaster relief and rescue work to public awareness, he said.

NCC is the nursery where the brave soldiers of the future are prepared. NCC is preparing disciplined and responsible citizens. The government will extend full cooperation for its development and expansion. Additional Director General Major General PS Dahiya said that the spirit of service to the nation is full of enthusiasm among the youth of Uttarakhand. Here the army is not only a means of employment but also a tradition. That is why there is a lot of demand for NCC in educational institutions. Presently there are about 40 thousand NCC cadets in more than 550 educational institutions in 13 districts.

As per the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for the expansion of NCC in the border areas, Uttarakhand has been allotted additional four thousand vacancies (Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Haldwani, and Pithoragarh). Apart from this, Uttarakhand has also got training simulators for shooting practice. CM also honored NCC cadets. During this, Brigadier SS Dadwal, Brigadier Ravindra Gurung, Brigadier NS Thakur, Brigadier VK Tomar, Col Raman Arora, Col JB Kshetri, Lt Col Rahul Chauhan, Lt Col LB Mall, Sameer Saxena, Harish Dabral, NK Uniyal, etc. were present.
