On World Bamboo Day, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb launched a biscuit and honey bottle made of bamboo. With the help of these two, employment opportunities are expected to increase in the state. The Chief Minister informed about this by tweeting through his Twitter handle.

He tweeted that biscuits and honey bottles made of bamboo are being launched on the occasion of World Bamboo Day. The Chief Minister wrote that these items will add another feather to our cap. These two can become a source of livelihood for many people in the state and can fulfill Prime Minister Modi’s goal of self-reliance in India.

On the ocassion of World Bamboo day launched Bamboo Cookies and Bamboo made honey bottle.

Bamboo cookies and Honey bottle will now add another feather to our cap.

The Chief Minister further wrote that the biscuits made from bamboo are made naturally, which makes it more nutritious and healthy. The Chief Minister has also thanked Babu and Ken Development Institute and Dr. Abhinav Kant for this unique invention.

Dr. Abhinav Kant, President of BCDI Institute, developed these biscuits and bottles made from bamboo so that the local people of the state could get employment. Dr. Kant says that biscuits made from bamboo are more nutritious than normal biscuits. He further said that till now bamboo has been used for industrial activities but now it will also be used in food.
