Shri Satpal Maharaj, Chaubattakhal MLA and Minister of Tourism, Irrigation, and Culture of the State, met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari at his office in New Delhi today and apprised him of the poor condition of National Highways under his constituency. Told that these roads are always prone to accidents. Regionals have also been requested to strengthen these routes from time to time.

Shri Maharaj told him that on January 4, 2021, the Regional Officer, Road Transport and Highways after redressal of the amended objection objections relating to these routes by National Highway Public Works Department, Dhumakot and Chief Engineer Level-1, National Highway, Uttarakhand Public Works Department, Dehradun Ministry, Government of India Jakhan, Dehradun National Highway from Dhumakot to Birkhal 28 km, cost 22.19 crore, Birkhal to Manjgaon 30 km, cost 16.85 crores, gas godown to Salonadhar 25 km cost 17. 26 crores, Pabau to Buakhal 20.115 km cost 12.24 crore And National Highway No. 119, whose length is 24 km. And the cost is 17.86 crores was asked to repair these national highways.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, taking immediate cognizance of the strengthening of the National Highway as told by the Chaubattakhal MLA and the State Cabinet Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj, ordered his subordinate ministry to immediately repair all these routes. Shri Satpal Maharaj said that Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport Highways and Shipping has assured him that the process of rectification of his constituency as well as other national highways of the state will be implemented soon.
