People say that most of the cameras were turned off after a few months of installation. Due to this most of the cameras remain showpieces. In the year 2021, 48 CCTV cameras were installed by Landoura Nagar Panchayat at a cost of about Rs 25 lakh. Cameras were installed on main roads and intersections. So that in case of any kind of incident, with the help of cameras, the people who committed the crime can be traced.

The shopkeepers and the people of the town say that when the cameras were installed, they were happy that the cameras would be able to curb crime. People say that after a few days most of the cameras stopped working. Qari Suleman says that on the night of April 8, cash and jewelry were stolen by breaking the lock of his locked house. On the night of 25 April, clothes and shoes were stolen from a readymade clothing shop on the railway station road. On the night of 5 June, 11 batteries and inverters were stolen by breaking the locks of the shop on Roorkee Laksar Marg in front of the Nagar Panchayat office. But most of the cameras were not working smoothly, no help has been given in the identification of the people who perpetrated the incident. Nagar Panchayat EO Haricharan Singh says that some mischievous people pull the leads of the cameras. For this reason, most cameras do not work smoothly. EO says that soon all the cameras will be fixed.
