Yellow Alert is expected in Uttarakhand hilly areas till April 7 due to rain and hail

Rain and hail are expected to fall in the mountainous districts from Monday to April 7 in Uttarakhand. A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department Dehradun Center for this. Also, the concerned departments have been advised to be vigilant.

There is a possibility of light to very light rain, snowfall, and lightning at some places in the mountainous areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, and Dehradun on Monday and Tuesday of the Meteorological Center. On April 7, a hailstorm and celestial lightning are expected to occur at some places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Nainital, Almora, and Pithoragarh.

There is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in the Uttarkashi, Chamoli, and Pithoragarh districts. Somewhere in the plains, there is a possibility of gusty winds. The Meteorological Center has warned that there is a possibility of landslides due to heavy rains and snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, and Pithoragarh districts on April 7.

The Meteorological Center has advised the concerned departments to make necessary arrangements for the cleanliness of the roads. Also, there is a need to be cautious of the passengers or people going by the vehicle while driving. At the same time, people were disturbed by the rise in temperature and scorching sun in Dehradun on Sunday.
