Dehradun. The cold is now starting to show its effect. The temperature is dropping especially in the morning and evening. The mercury has reached below one degree in the mountainous areas. The weather is expected to remain dry across the state. In the coming three days, the minimum temperature of the state is likely to be around one degree Celsius. The maximum temperature is also likely to remain two to three degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of a partly cloudy sky in the higher Himalayan region afternoon. There is a possibility of fog in the morning and evening in the plains and frost in the morning in the mountains.

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of severe cold from December 15. In the plains, there will be light fog in the morning. In the hilly areas, the sunshine of the day will give relief from the cold. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a low-pressure area over the southeast and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal. Which is expected to turn into a cyclone and move in the west and northwest direction.

Whereas, the Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan and its adjoining areas. Which is likely to move forward. Because of this, a change in the weather can be seen for the next three-four days. Between December 9 and 11, light rain and snow may occur at isolated places with fog at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, a further drop in temperature can be seen.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be fog in the morning in Almora and its surrounding valley areas. It will be sunny throughout the day amidst light clouds. Wind blowing afternoon will increase the cold. In Bageshwar also there will be fog in the morning.
