Haridwar. Vigilance has clamped down on suspended IFS and Haridwar’s former DFO Kishanchand caught on charges of corruption. After the issue of a non-bailable warrant from the Haldwani Vigilance Court, the Vigilance team conducted raids in Delhi and Meerut to arrest Kishan Chand. Another team is camping in Haridwar. All the family members including Kishan Chand’s wife and former district panchayat president Brij Rani are said to be absconding. That’s why Vigilance is preparing to take attachment action soon. Former BJP MLA and Ravidas Acharya Suresh Rathore had made suspended IFS Kishanchand the General Secretary in his Ravidas Akhara by organizing a grand event in North Haridwar last month. Even after this, the problems of Kishanchand are not taking the name of reducing.

During his posting in the Kalagarh range, Kishan Chand was accused of illegal construction work in Morghatti and Pakhro, along with the felling of green trees and misuse of government funds and payment to contractors by making fake bills. The departmental inquiry found all the allegations to be true. After this Kishan Chandra was suspended. Along with conducting raids in Nainital and Delhi, the Vigilance team has also intensified the siege in Haridwar. At present, the lock is hanging on Kishanchand’s house and Brij International School located on Kaliyar-Sohalpur road. A Vigilance official told that if Kishanchand is not arrested soon, attachment action will be taken.
