Uttaranchal Press Club delegation met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding the problems of journalists

Dehradun. Under the leadership of Uttaranchal Press Club President Pradeep Guleria, a delegation of the club executive kept the problems of the journalists with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Club President Guleria while sending a memorandum to Chief Minister Dhami said that:-

  • Prior to the formation of the state, journalists (working in the field and desk) should be recognized as permanent journalists by identifying them as state agitators.
  • At present, the pension is very less. Whereas like other states, the pension amount should be increased to 15 thousand rupees per month.
  • The insurance amount for journalists should be increased to 20 lakhs.
  • The wife of journalist Jagmohan Rautela, suffering from cancer and suffering from journalist Kuldeep Pundir Lakhwa, should be given immediate financial service from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

On the above demands, Chief Minister Dhami assured the Press Club that he would try to fulfill all the demands immediately. He promised that press clubs would come soon. On this occasion, the club executive expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and expressed hope that the justified demands of the journalists would be decided soon.
