After the start of bus service from ISBT Dehradun to Delhi, now bus operations have started from other cities of the state as well. However, due to lack of permission from UP, buses are being operated via Karnal only.

It is to be known that after the second wave of Corona came, the Uttarakhand government had imposed a Covid curfew. During this, the operation of buses for the outlying states was stopped. Buses coming from all the states including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, UP, Rajasthan, Himachal were being stopped at the state border itself. At the same time, buses of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation were also being sent to the Uttarakhand border.

Now after the graph of infection has reduced, the operation of buses has been started gradually. After Dehradun depot, now bus operations from Haridwar, Rishikesh depot to Delhi have also been started. On Sunday also, many buses were operated from Rishikesh and Haridwar for Delhi. However, relatively fewer riders were found on Sundays.

Permission not yet received from UP
On the other hand, permission for bus operation has not yet been received from the Uttar Pradesh government. At present, the buses of Uttarakhand are going only till the borders of UP, while the buses of UP are coming till the borders of Uttarakhand.

We have also started operating roadways buses for Delhi from Haridwar and Rishikesh. Although the route from Haridwar to Karnal via Karnal is getting very long. After getting permission from UP, the distance to Delhi will be less.
