Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank Garhwal will be the chief guest of the 8th convocation ceremony of the Central University. Whereas University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof. DP Singh will attend the event as a special guest. Guests, visitors, and participants will all attend the convocation in online mode.

The eighth convocation of Garhwal University will be held on December 1. The special thing is that due to Corona infection the convocation is being held in online mode. The university has appealed to the candidates to apply online on the university portal by 22 November to participate in the ceremony.

Coordinator of the convocation Prof. RC Ramola said that Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal as Chief Guest and Chairman of UGC Prof. DP Singh will be present as a special guest.

In the ceremony, degrees will be given to students who have done postgraduate and MPhil in the teaching session 2019-20 from Srinagar, Pauri, and Tehri of the university. Whereas after 15 November 2019, students who have obtained a Ph.D. degree or have given oral examination before 20 November 2020 will attend the ceremony. He has asked all the candidates to register by 22 November.
