Uttarakhand Governor Baby Rani Maurya resigned from her post on Wednesday. The President has accepted his resignation. Governor’s secretary BK Sant has confirmed this. Discussions have also started regarding who will be the next governor of Uttarakhand.

Baby Rani Maurya took over as the Governor of Uttarakhand on 26 August 2018. On August 26, he completed his three-year term. There are many speculations about his resignation. BJP can use them in the UP assembly elections.

Significantly, Maurya has had a good influence in the Agra region of UP. She has been the mayor of Agra. She was also a member of the National Commission for Women from 2002 to 2005. In such a situation, speculations are that she can be given a big responsibility in the assembly elections.
