Dehradun. Governor of Uttarakhand L.J. Gurmeet Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the border on Thursday to celebrate Diwali among the soldiers. He celebrated Diwali with the soldiers of the country posted on the border. As per their scheduled program, the Governor and the Chief Minister reached the East Camp of Garhwal Scouts in Mana and encouraged them by meeting the army personnel. He distributed happiness by feeding sweets to the jawans and wished them a happy Diwali. He said that we are all proud of the zeal and passion of the soldiers of the country posted on the borders in difficult circumstances. At the same time, when the Governor and the Chief Minister reached the East Camp, the army personnel welcomed them with a guard of honor. After meeting the army personnel, the Governor and the Chief Minister reached the Badrinath temple and prayed for the prosperity of the country and the state.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated the people of the state on Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhaiya Dooj. In his message, the Chief Minister has said that the festival of Diwali symbolizes the victory of peace over disturbance, good over evil, and light over darkness. Diwali is also a festival of worship and social harmony of Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Annapurna.
