Uttarakhand disaster: CM Dhami announced, families of the dead will get the help of four lakh rupees
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took stock of the damage caused by waterlogging in the Rudrapur area on Tuesday evening. He assured all possible help to the affected. Said that a major disaster has occurred in the state, in which there has been a loss of life as well as animal loss. Financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh will be given to the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster.
The CM said that for people whose houses have been damaged in the disaster, one lakh nine thousand will be given to them in hilly areas and 95 thousand in plain areas. Five thousand rupees will be given to those people whose houses have been flooded by water. Agriculture has also suffered a lot in the disaster, it is being assessed. The CM said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister have expressed concern about the damage caused by the disaster. The damage is being assessed.
Chief Minister Dhami landed at Pantnagar airport on Tuesday evening. After that reached Sanjaynagar Kheda of Rudrapur at around 6.15 pm, He inquired about the damage and help from the people affected by the waterlogging. They were told that people have suffered huge losses due to waterlogging. Due to waterlogging in the houses, all the goods have been ruined and the hard-built house has come into a state of collapse. CM said that maximum financial help should be given by the government.
MLA Rajkumar Thukral told the Chief Minister that there has been a lot of devastation in the Rudrapur area. Everywhere is full of water. Former member Lalit Miglani told that the waterlogging caused by the rain has caused a lot of damage. After filling the water in the houses, the police administration, as well as the NDRF and SDRF teams, are evacuating the people safely. CM inquired about the condition of the disaster affected at two places. Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, DGP Ashok Kumar, DM Ranjana Rajguru, SSP Dalip Singh Kunwar, and others were present with him.
NDRF jawans encouraged
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted with the NDRF personnel engaged in relief and rescue operations at Sanjaynagar Kheda and encouraged them. Said that the teams that came out to rescue the people at the time of disaster deserve congratulations. Cabinet Minister Dr. Rawat also encouraged the soldiers. Excited jawans took selfies and photographs with the Chief Minister.
The plan will be made for the problem of drainage
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it has received four times more rain than the previous year’s record rainfall. Now is the time of disaster. After this, a plan will be made to solve the drainage problem. Earlier, Kichha MLA Rajesh Shukla also spoke to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami over the phone. He said that due to the encroachment on the river, drains, there have been situations of flood and waterlogging at various places in the district. Therefore, along with removing the encroachments, the responsibility of the officials should also be fixed.
