The government can focus on tourism, the rural economy, and the service sector. Due to the election year, the budget is also expected to be breathtaking this time. The government can also take recourse to schemes like MNREGA on the employment front.

The state government is expected to bring a planned budget of about Rs 13,000 crore this time. According to sources, in view of the conditions arising due to corona, this time the government can try to give relief to every section in some form or the other in the budget. The government has indicated this by increasing the plan size. Along with this, there is also pressure on the government to increase employment opportunities. For this, the government can increase the scope of other employment-oriented schemes, including the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme.

Will have to do away with the traditional budget
The state government has so far been able to bring revenue surplus and a tax-free budget. This time it will be very challenging to bring such a traditional budget in front of the government. The growth rate of the state is expected to be below zero. In such a situation, the budget for revenue deficit is more likely. It is so important that the government will try to avoid additional tax as it is an election year.

There is a possibility of reducing the size of GDP
Before the Corona period, the state’s GDP was around 2.56 lakh crore rupees. Presently, if the growth rate is below zero, then the size of GDP can also be around Rs 2.50 lakh crore.

The fiscal deficit will increase, yet the government is in relief
The increase in the fiscal deficit is certain. So far, the government has managed to keep the fiscal deficit at three percent of GDP. Now the center has been allowed to keep the fiscal deficit within nine percent. Despite this, the government will have to come up with a plan to keep the fiscal deficit to a minimum.

They contribute to the state’s economy
Manufacturing -37.52 percent
Construction -7.95 percent
Business Hotel & Refreshment House – 14.96 Percent
Transport, storage, communication, and broadcasting-6.02 percent

There will also be a decrease in per capita income
The per capita income is also expected to decrease due to the economy affected by Corona. The per capita income of the state was around Rs 1.82 in the last financial year, now it can be less than this.

The budget of the state will be a relief for all other sections including the common man. The government is trying to ensure rapid development of the state and every class gets relief in one way or the other.
-Trevendra Singh Rawat, Chief Minister Uttarakhand

This budget will live up to the expectations of the common man. This budget is for all other sections including common man, women, farmers, middle class.
– Madan Kaushik, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Uttarakhand

At this time, the state is most in need of furthering its launched schemes. The decisions made during the Corona period should be implemented. Along with this, it has to be seen how much the state’s fiscal deficit is and what is the situation ahead.
