The Kerala Story, directed by Sudipto Sen, is currently the talk of the town. Because of this film, the country has once again been divided into two sides. While some people are supporting the film, The Kerala Story is vehemently opposed some. Now meanwhile The Kerala Story has created history and has become the highest-opening female-led Bollywood film.

Amidst all the controversies, The Kerala Story, which was released on 5th May, continues to do exceptionally well at the box office. The film has collected over Rs 81 crore at the box office in its first week. With this, The Kerala Story has beaten Kangana Ranaut’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns (69.95 crores) and Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi (68.83 crores). The Kerala Story stars Adah Sharma in the lead role. Now the film has gone beyond profits. It seems that there is no visible effect of the ban on the film. After Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, now Uttarakhand and Haryana governments have also made the film tax-free. Due to this, more jump in earnings is being seen.
