Dehradun. Voting for the Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 is going to be held on February 14. Voters should vote fiercely so that there is no flaw and excuse left, so the Election Commission is going to provide facilities to everyone. The Election Commission has declared a public holiday in the state on the day of polling in the Uttarakhand Assembly elections. All government offices, educational institutions, banks, and treasuries in the respective districts will remain closed during this holiday. A mandate in this regard has been issued by the General Administration Department on Friday. Let us tell you that like Punjab, there was a demand to extend the date of elections in Uttarakhand. Keeping this in mind, the Election Commission has taken this decision.

As per the mandate, February 4 will be a public holiday in the state for the Uttarakhand assembly elections. A copy of this mandate has been sent to all the Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates, and Heads of Offices. It has been said in the mandate that they should release that personnel under them in time whose duty has been imposed in the elections. So that they can reach the polling stations in time and make arrangements for their stay. It has also been said in the direction that the employees who are engaged in election or counting of votes if they are unable to attend the office on the days immediately following the election or counting of votes for good reason, their absence should be condoned.

Let us tell you that in the elections to be held on February 14 in Uttarakhand, more than 81 lakh voters will decide the fate of 632 candidates. There are now 632 candidates in the fray. In this, the maximum number of candidates are in seven districts of Garhwal. Here 391 candidates are contesting 41 seats in seven districts. While 241 candidates are in the fray for 29 seats in Kumaon. At the same time, the people of the state will decide the fate of these candidates on the day of polling to be held on February 14.
