Dehradun. The portals of Hemkund Sahib, the holy place of Sikhs, will be opened for devotees on May 20. In the meeting of the committee held in the presence of Narendrajit Singh Bindra, chairman of the Hemkund Sahib Management Committee, it was decided to open the portals of Hemkund Sahib for the devotees on May 20. Managing Committee Chairman Narendrajit Singh Bindra met Chief Secretary SS Sandhu. It was decided in the talks that Hemkund Yatra would be started from May 20 this year by the Gurdwara Trust in collaboration with the State Government.

Whereas this time the Chardham Yatra will start on 22 April. The government is engaged in preparations to facilitate the journey of pilgrims coming from the country and the world. The government is hopeful that the number of devotees visiting Chardham Yatra will create a new record. The date for opening the doors of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham has been fixed. The doors of Badrinath will open on April 27 and Kedarnath Dham on April 25, while according to tradition, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open on April 22, the day of Akshaya Tritiya.
