Relief to the common man once again extended the date of linking PAN card with Aadhaar card

New Delhi. There is news of relief for the common man. The news is that the deadline for linking a PAN card with an Aadhaar card has been extended. Now the last date to link a PAN card with an Aadhaar card is June 30. Earlier the last date was 31 March. Taxpayers will now be able to link their PAN card with their Aadhaar card by June 30 by paying a fine.

According to the report of the Income Tax Department, till now 2 crore PAN holders had not linked their PAN cards with their Aadhaar. Giving some more relief to such PAN card holders, the government has extended the last date for PAN-Aadhaar card linking till June 30. As per section 1961 of Income Tax, it is mandatory for PAN card holders to link their PAN cards with their Aadhaar. There is a provision of penalty for not doing so.
