We are working on the problems related to the rehabilitation of the Tehri dam displaced and will be resolved soon. Minister of Tourism, Irrigation, Watershed Management, and Culture Satpal Maharaj said here today in a program organized on the occasion of the foundation and inauguration of several development schemes under the irrigation department in the district.

Tourism, Irrigation, Watershed Management, and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj said that there are problems like a mountain in the mountain. We have resolved to resolve these problems. We called a meeting to resolve the problems related to rehabilitation of the Tehri dam displaced and brainstormed with local MPs and MLAs regarding the problems of displacement of 415 families.

Every effort is being made to resolve the issues related to THDC and the state by forming a committee under the chairmanship of the commissioner. Maharaj said that we are confident that with the help of the Center, we will definitely be able to solve the problems related to rehabilitation. During the program, Irrigation Minister Satpal Maharaj in the program organized at the THDC’s Gast House Complex in New Tehri, under the Irrigation Department, the security erosion scheme of 99.00 lakhs in the village of Guldani Tok in Pratapnagar, Vikas Block Jakhanidhar, and Development Block under NABARD. Layed the foundation stone of two crores seventy-two lakh schemes for the restoration of 12 mountain canals damaged by the divine disaster in Jaunpur.

In the Tehri district, the irrigation minister Maharaj also inaugurated the scheme of Rs. 5 lakhs under the Department of Minor Irrigation, Rs. 5 lakhs for water accounts, token and Rs. 5 lakhs for Ghatkhala names. Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj also inaugurated Ghansali, a subdivision office building constructed at a cost of fifty lakh rupees during his district tour.

Tourism, Irrigation, Watershed Management, and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj also met Bharatiya Janata Party officials and activists during the district tour. On this occasion Pratapnagar MLA Vijaypal Singh Panwar, Irrigation Adviser Atar Singh Tomar, BJP District President Vinod Raturi, District General Secretary Govind Singh Rawat, District Vice President Jayendra Semwal, District General Secretary Bhan Singh Negi, New Tehri BJP Circle President Vijay Kathait, Pratap Nagar Mandal President Harshmani Semwal, Trilok Singh Rawat, Rajendra Negi, Yuva Morcha District President Parveer Panwar were the heads of the three development blocks, besides District Collector Eva Ashish, CDO Abhishek Rohila, and several officials of the irrigation department were present.
