Punjab: Election strategist Prashant Kishor resigns as an advisor to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh
Election strategist Prashant Kishor has resigned as an advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. He resigned stating that in view of his decision to take temporary leave from an active role in public life, he is not able to handle the responsibilities as Principal Advisor to CM. He requested the Captain to relieve him of this responsibility.
Sources say that Prashant Kishor has been proposed to join the Congress for the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh next year and the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. In order to regain its lost ground and restore its position in the states, Congress is now seeing support in the PK itself. Therefore, it is believed that Kishor can prepare the party’s strategy for the Congress for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. PK will now have a bigger role in these elections. It is being told that this meeting was held to discuss the party’s election strategy and prepare its blueprint.
Even before this has been associated with Congress
PK had earlier joined the Congress in the 2017 assembly elections, at that time there was an electoral alliance between the SP and the Congress, but this alliance could not win the election. It was said at that time that PK wanted to make Priyanka Gandhi the face in the election but talks with the party high command could not be made on this issue, so PK separated from the party in the middle.
