New rules will be applicable for citizens and tenants coming from outside states
Dehradun. People living in jobs and rents in Uttarakhand from other states will now have to go through strict verification. Director General of Police Ashok Kumar said that the verification reports are not being received from the concerned outstation district/police station on the verification forms sent to the outside states, due to which the documents submitted by the person to the police are not verified. With this amendment, the verification process will be stricter and action can be taken by keeping an eye on suspicious people.
People working and residing in Uttarakhand from outside states will now have to submit an affidavit regarding whether their documents are correct or not, along with giving only general details in the verification format. Along with this, the verification report/character certificate report of their native place brought with them by the person concerned will also have to be submitted. All these documents will have to be presented by them to the local police station through the landlord/manager/owner.
Let us inform you that in respect of physical verification of persons working and residing in Uttarakhand from outside states, amendments have been made to the SOP issued earlier. Now legal action will be taken against those who violate the prescribed procedure under section 83 of the Uttarakhand Police Act 2007. Along with this, legal action will be taken by registering a case against the person presenting forged documents or false affidavits in connection with the verification.
