Indian team reached Australia to participate in the World Cup to be held from 16 October

The Indian team has reached Australia to take part in the World Cup to be held from October 16. Team India led by Rohit Sharma has landed on the field without losing time after reaching there. Team India is currently in Perth, where they will prepare for the World Cup. After reaching Perth, the Indian team took part in the first training session at the prestigious WACA Stadium on Friday morning.

The Indian T20 team and support staff participating in the World Cup left for Australia from Mumbai on Thursday. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a picture of Indian players starting their training at the iconic Perth ground.

Most of the teams participating in the World Cup are currently playing competitive cricket, while the Indian team will play some practice matches before playing their first match in the World Cup. India will take on Western Australia XI in two warm-up matches in Perth on October 10 and 13. After Perth, the Indian team will travel to Brisbane, where they will play two official warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand on October 17 and 19.

After this, the Indian team will start their campaign on 23 October against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Rohit’s team will take on the runners-up of Group A in the T20 World Cup qualifying round in Sydney on October 27.
