Haridwar. wonderful and supernatural. All four directions are united and hail Bhole Bhandari. On the first two days of the month of Shravan, the view of the holy city of Haridwar, especially the Harki Paidi area, looks different, as if it is waking up and waiting for the dawn and the day is spreading vermilion. On Thursday, Dharmanagari was colored in the colors of the Kanwar fair, which was presenting a picture of a miniature India in Haridwar with the confluence of common culture. As soon as the Kanwar Mela Yatra started on the first day of the month of Shravan, Dharmanagari started turning into saffron color. According to the police, so far more than 21 lakh Kanwar Yatris have left Haridwar towards their destination by carrying water.

Although the arrival of Kanwar pilgrims in Dharmanagari had started a week ago, the order of returning with water started picking up pace from the first day of Shravan month on Wednesday, due to which the atmosphere has started coming in full swing. Till July 15, Dharmanagari will remain colored in the colors of the Kanwar fair. The Ganga of religion-spirituality is flowing at every step, lakhs of Shiva devotees are seen diving into it. Everyone is eager to paint in this color of faith. Kanwar pilgrims from different provinces have camped. Seeing the devotees of Shiva, everyone is filled with faith and spirituality, while some are bowing with folded hands. Kanwar Yatris’ chaupals are decorated at Harki Paidi, Main Kanwar Mela Bazar Pantdweep, bus stand, railway station, and other public places.

Only Kanwar Yatris are seen at tea shops, Ganga banks, Math-temples, parks, etc. Somewhere the glory of Shiva is being praised and somewhere the sound waves of religious songs are echoing. Most of the ashrams and dharamshalas are buzzing with these. From one end to the other, devotees of Shiv bhakt Kanwar Yatris are also marching and in their spare time, they are camping collectively at different places. With the beginning of the rainy season, after the Chardham Yatra got relaxed, the brightness of the markets, which had disappeared for about a month, returned with the commencement of the Kanwar Mela Yatra. Especially in the markets of the Harki Paidi area and its surrounding areas, there is a lot of excitement from morning till late at night. Shiv bhakt Kanwar Yatris are seen touching and buying goods in different groups everywhere.

Along with this, the Kanwar market has also been decorated. Although Kanwar Bazar is decorated on Bat Island, Patandweep parking, in view of the possibilities of a huge crowd of pilgrims this time, it is decorated in other places other than Kanwar market. It is tradition and belief that the Kanwar Yatri who comes to Haridwar to take Ganga water for Shiva Jalabhishek buys his Kanwar from here. The Kanwar market is decorated here every year. With the commencement of the Kanwar Yatra, the demand for Gangajali and Kalash has increased. For the last few years, the tradition of carrying Gangajal in steel, copper, and brass urns is gaining momentum among the Kanwar Yatris coming to the Kanwar Mela. In view of this, these days their demand has increased in the markets of Haridwar. Along with this, the demand for plastic bottles gangajal has also increased.
