Dehradun. Labor Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat has ordered the reinstatement of 38 employees who were removed from the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board last year. According to Dr. Rawat, he has ordered Secretary Labor in this regard that the employees who were removed from the board should be reinstated from the date they were removed. He said that our first responsibility should be on giving employment and not on needlessly removing someone. In view of this, he has given these orders.

Significantly, during the tenure of the Trivendra government, in October last year, Labor Minister Dr. Rawat was removed from the post of Chairman of the Board, and Shamsher Singh Satyal was made the Chairman. Then Dr. Rawat expressed strong resentment over this. However, the government immediately re-constituted the entire board and sent Damayanti Rawat, who was looking after the responsibility of the secretary, to his parent department and assigned the responsibility of the secretary to Labor Commissioner Deepti Singh.

Not only this, but the new board had also reversed all the decisions of the previous board. Now after the change of leadership in the government, one day earlier, Deputy Commissioner Madhu Chauhan was appointed to the post of Secretary of the Board. Not only this, now after the leave of the Chairman of the Board, the Labor Minister has ordered the reinstatement of the employees who were removed by the Board in the past.
