In 1987–88, people used to watch the Ramayana and Mahabharata very keenly. It is said that at that time, from the officer to the leader, he did not like to pick up the phone of anyone. When the 78-episode Ramayana aired, curfew-like silence prevailed in the streets and streets of the country. People used to burn incense sticks during the broadcast of Ramayana in all cities and villages of India. Slippers were taken outside the room.

Significantly, in the Ramayana, Lord Rama played the character of Arun Govil. At the same time, Deepika Chikhaliya, who plays Sita, is still remembered as Sita. Along with this, Dara Singh played the role of Hanuman. While playing the role of Ravan, Arvind Trivedi gained immense popularity.
