Big news has come out for the audience who like Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana. On Saturday 28 March, the telecast of ‘Ramayana’ will start again on Doordarshan’s national channel on public demand. The first episode will air at 9.00 am and the second episode will air at 9.00 pm.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar himself has given this information on social media. Explain that for the last few days, there was a demand on social media to telecast Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana and BR Chopra’s Mahabharata again. So, fulfilling this demand of all of them, the telecast of Ramayana has been started again.
Explain that Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana was broadcast on Doordarshan for the first time in 1987. At the same time, BR Chopra’s Mahabharata was also broadcast on Doordarshan in 1988 for the first time. People used to watch Ramayana and Mahabharata so much that there was silence on the streets. During the telecast of these religious programs, the atmosphere of the streets outside was almost like a curfew.
In 1987–88, people used to watch the Ramayana and Mahabharata very keenly. It is said that at that time, from the officer to the leader, he did not like to pick up the phone of anyone. When the 78-episode Ramayana aired, curfew-like silence prevailed in the streets and streets of the country. People used to burn incense sticks during the broadcast of Ramayana in all cities and villages of India. Slippers were taken outside the room.
Significantly, in the Ramayana, Lord Rama played the character of Arun Govil. At the same time, Deepika Chikhaliya, who plays Sita, is still remembered as Sita. Along with this, Dara Singh played the role of Hanuman. While playing the role of Ravan, Arvind Trivedi gained immense popularity.
