Dehradun/New Delhi. Tourism, Religion, Irrigation, and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj met Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan to discuss the subject extensively on the possibilities of medical tourism in Uttarakhand.

The state’s Tourism, Minister Satpal Maharaj met Union Health Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, at the Ministry of Health at Nirman Bhawan New Delhi today and spoke to him about the possibilities of medical tourism in Uttarakhand. Satpal Maharaj also thanked the Union Health Minister for the support the state was getting during Kovid. Informing him about the immense potential of medical tourism in Uttarakhand, the Tourism Minister Maharaj said that India is currently number one in terms of medical tourism in Asian countries.

Countries like Thailand, Singapore, China, and Japan are also trying to woo such tourists. But due to the extremely low cost of treatment in India, availability of the latest medical techniques and equipment, foreigners are not having language problems, they are the most visited tourists. In India, less than one-fourth of the cost of treatment is treated, it is also possible to roam.

He said that Uttarakhand is the most suitable state for medical tourism. Maharaj said that along with tourism, medical tourism also needs to be developed. The environment here is naturally suitable for all types of medicine. Many types of herbs are present in Uttarakhand, which is a perfect medicine for incurable diseases.
